We've had a wonderful first week together in room 108! Here are just a few highlights from our time together:
Everyone wrote and illustrated a hope or dream for their first grade year
We've been building our quiet first grade reading stamina
Story writing has begun!
The students created a set of rules for our meeting space
Everyone picked out a breathing buddy to help with our daily mindfulness sessions
Mrs. Lincoln led us through the steps of making self-portraits (soon to be lining the hallways!)
In math we practiced estimating, explored math tools, and played monster squeeze on the number line
